Daisy Ahmed is at a time noted actress and Tagore artiste. She is wife of noted actor and director late Bulbul Ahmed. She passed her whole life rendering songs and acting. Today is her birthday. She will pass the day with two daughters and grandchildren. Later she along with her elder daughter Tilottoma and her children will go to Malaysia.
During her childhood Daisy Ahmed has been engaged with music. In her long career, she released a solo album titled Tomar Ragey Anuragi only. It was released in 1996. Sadi Mohammad gave its music direction. She completed course on Rabindra Sangeet with Papia Sarwar and Kaderi Kibria from Bulbul Lalitakala Academy. She got the highest marks in final examination. Later she also completed course from Sangeet Bhaban.
Hailed from Brahmanbaria Daisy Ahmed’s real name is Fawzia Ahmed Daisy. She is familiar to the name ‘Khuku’ to all. She said, “Except family members nobody knows my name is Khuku. Only family members call me by this name. Everybody pray for me.”
Daisy Ahmed first acted in Abdullah Al Mamun’s play Maloncho. Bulbul Ahmed and Kobori were her co-actors in that play. Same time she also acted in play Boro Didi under Abdullah Al Mamun’s production. Sharmily Ahmed was her co-actress. She tied the nuptial knot with Bulbul Ahmed on February 7 in 1965. She is mother of Shuvo, Tilottoma and Oindrila. “I always miss him (Bulbul Ahmed). May Allah keep him Jannat,” she said.
