Some 450 members of cyclone ‘Mora’ victim families at Lama upazila of Bandarban hill district got donation on Wednesday.
State Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing distributed the cheques of donation with the assistance of UNDP Bangladesh on Lama Upazila Parishad premises, said an official handout.
UNDP Bangladesh national project manager Prosenjit Chakma, CHT Regional Council member Kajal Kanti Das, Bandarban Hill District Council member Laxmipada Das, Lama pourashava mayor Md Jahirul Islam and local AL leaders were present on the occasion, among others, with Lama Upazila Nirbahi Officer Khin Won Nu in the chair.
