Visiting secretary general of the Commonwealth Kamalesh Sharma sat in a meeting with BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia at he Gulshan political office on Saturday.
In the meeting, the Commonwealth secretary general and the BNP chairperson discussed various issues, including, poverty eradication, terrorism, and current political and human rights situation.
BNP standing committee members Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar, Nazrul Islam Khan, BNP
chiarperson’s adviser Riaz Rahman and Commonwealth deputy secretary general Ramvenu Prasad were also present at the meeting.
