The Cute Women’s Handball League begins today at the Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium. Bangladesh Handball Federation will arrange the handball competition under auspices of Mousumi Industries Limited.
Regarding the handball meet, a press conference was held at the Dutch-Bangla Bank Auditorium of Bangladesh Olympic Association Bhaban on Saturday.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Handball Federation Asaduzzaman Kohinoor, Director of Mousumi Industries Limited Kazi Rajib Uddin Ahmed Chapal, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police and Chairman of the League Committee Begum Ayesha Siddiqua, Secretary of the League Committee SM Khalequzzaman were present at the conference.
The budget of the tournament has been estimated at Tk six lakh and fifty thousand while Mousumi Industries Limited, the sponsor of the meet has given all the money to Bangladesh Handball Federation.
A total of ten teams splitting into two groups will take part in the handball league. Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited, Arambagh Krira Sangha, Gafur Baluch Smrity Sangsad, Usha Krira Chakra, Viqarunnisa Sports Club are in Group A while Dhaka Mariner Youngs Club, RN Sports Home, Jatrabari Krira Chakra, Madaripur Handball Training Centre are in Group B.
Top two teams from each group will move in to the Super Four. The highest point taker team of Super Four will be the champions of the handball league.
