Terming temporary the current political turbulence, State Minister for Finance MA Mannan has said the government believes this political problem will not last for long and the investors do not have to worry about it.The State Minister said this while addressing a conference titled ‘Global Public Private Partnership (PPP) Initiative in Post-2015:Opportunities for US-Bangladesh Business’ at Ismaili Jamat Khana and Centre in city’s Bashundhara Residential area on Friday evening. The programme was jointly organised by Bangladesh Mission to the United Nations, Global NRB (Non-Resident Bangladeshi) USA and FICS, United States.MA Mannan also invited the investors to invest under Public Private Partnership (PPP) policy so that they can be part of the country’s development.The minister said the government is ready to provide highest policy support to the foreign investors as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina herself gave instructions to do so.Speaking on the occasion, president of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed expressed his hope that the political turmoil will stop shortly. He said the investors should invest in Bangladesh as the government assures of its full support.
