On the occasion of 44th death anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, the General Education Department (GED) and Center for Bangla Studies (CBS) at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) jointly organized a cultural programme “If the flute doesn’t blow anymore ” on September 10 last. The programme featured poetry recitation and Bengali songs by ULAB students.
Renowned scholar and luminary of the Language Movement, National Professor Rafiqul Islam was present in the event as the chief guest.
He enlightened audiences with erudite discussion on National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. Students of ULAB performed in the cultural evening.
The Head of the General Education Department, ULAB and Director of the Center for Archaeological Studies, Professor Shahnaj Husne Jahan who is an eminent archeologist of the country, delivered the vote of thanks to conclude the programme.
