‘Cultural practices to increase among students’

State Minister for Culture KM Khalid MP emphasised on increasing the practice of cultural activities in various educational institutions including schools, colleges, today’s students will run the state in the future. They are the future of the nation. They will take the country forward by leading in various departments. And this future leadership should be educated in real education through proper sports and healthy cultural practices to help build a better nation.
 The State Minister said this while addressing the chief guest at the inauguration of the renovation and development programme implemented by the College Education Development Project at Shaheed Smriti Government College at Muktagachha in his constituency, Mymensingh on Thursday. The state minister said, for the sake of our generation, the cultural activities of the students should be increased in the institutions. College or educational institution based inter-departmental sports and cultural activities should be conducted regularly. Muktagacha Shaheed Smriti Government College has become one of the best 20 colleges in the country today. It should be taken further.
Muktagachha Upazila Health Complex has been selected as the best hospital among upazila level hospitals in the country for the last 9 months. He thanked everyone for that. Shaheed Smriti Government College Principal Prof Md. Idrees Ali presided over and Shah Muhammad Mahfuzul Bari, Head of the Bengali Department of the College, spoke as special guests at the event.
Among others, Muktagacha Mayor Alhaj Billal Hossain Sarkar, Awami League leader Azizul Haque Idu, Acting Chairman of Upazila Parishad Arab Ali and Education Engineering Department Executive Engineer Yusuf Ali were present there. Earlier, the state minister inaugurated the newly renovated college principal’s office, a road and the college auditorium.
