The leaders of Chattogram Union of Journalists expressed resentment over the assault on Photo Journalist Pradip Kumar Shil at some miscreants at Chattograim Tax Fair on Wednesday . In a statement of CUJ President Nazimuddin Shamal and the General Secretary Hasan Ferdous said while discharging his professional duties at Tax Fair , Journalist Pradip was insulted , which is not at all desirable.
The CUJ leaders demanded punishment to those involved with the assault to Pradip shil. The journalists leaders warns if any such incidents are occurred in future, stern protest programs will be launched .
Woman killed in elephant attack: A woman was trampled to death by a wild elephant in Kawkhali upazila of Rangamati on Friday evening.Deceased Messi Marma, 47, was the wife of Paiyang Marma, a resident of Shamukchhari’s Matichhara area in the upazila.
