One student lost both his leg after crushed under wheel of shuttle train of Chittagong University (CU) on Friday night while he was going down from running train at university railway platform
The victim Aminul Islam (24), a fourth year student of Bangla department was going to campus after completing his house tutors work with the train that move on night from city to university. The train with deep dark in some compartments as there is no any electricity left the city around 8.30 pm and reached the university at 9.30.
Anik was rushed to the University Medicare center but later was transferred to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH), where he has been under incentive cares.
Hearing the misery, CU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury went to CMCH to sympathize and ensured him to provide better treatment in Pango Hospital. Eyewitness said, Anik legs were crushed under the wheel of the train when he was rushing to go down from running train.
