A student of Chattogram University (CU) committed suicide at his house in Ramgarh upazila of Khagrachhari district any time on Friday night.
Son of Md Kamal Uddin, deceased Naimul Hasan Mission, 21, was the second year student of Chemistry Department.
Suicide notes were found inside his room where Naimul hanged himself from a ceiling fan.
The victim’s family members informed Naimul went to sleep at night after gossiping with friends. They entered the room early hours of Saturday breaking open the door after getting no response from inside and found the hanging body.
In one suicide note he wrote, ” This world is not for me. Everybody please forgive me.”
Ward councillor Sahab Uddin said Naimul had been suffering from some mental agony for last few days. He was under a doctor’s treatment in Dhaka for it.
Ramgarh Police Station OC Monir Hossain said the body was sent to Khagrachhari for autopsy.
An unnatural death case has been filed, the OC added.
