Department of Law, University of Chittagong (CU) has clinched the championship of the International Environmental Law Moot Court Competition while the Department of Law, Jahangirnagar University (JU) has become the runner up.
The competition was jointly organised by the Strategy for Environmental Development Foundation (SED)in collaboration with Eastern University at Eastern University, Dhaka from July 12 to 14, 2018.
A total of 22 teams comprised of public and private universities took part in the competition.
In the grand final of the competition, the judges panel was comprised of Honorable Justice of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed, Justice Jubair Rahman and Chief Executive Officer of BELA Syed Rizwana Hasan.
The participants from CU were Syed Tawsif Mahdi, Muhommod Mamun as moots and Arafat Ibnul Basar as the researcher.
