CU deputy registrar sacked

A deputy registrar of Chittagong University named Jaker Hossain was suspended on Sunday on charge of huge irregularities, occupation of University’s place and obstruction on constructing boundary wall.
CU acting registrar Dr Kamrul Huda confirmed it to the correspondent, saying the university administration suspended Jaker following huge findings was found against him.
University sources said, deputy registrar Jaker was occupying the university’s own places one after another for long and his misdeeds came into light on May 3, when he put obstruction on constructing the boundary wall. On the day, Jaker Hossain along with some cadres forced the labours to halt the construction and started to beat them. On information, police rushed to the spot and tried to mitigate the tensions.
Noticing arrival of the police personnel, Jaker got furious and engaged with scuffling with the police personnel where he hit a police official. The police then detained him and informed the incident to the university authority.
Earlier, Jaker was charging as the sub auditor while he allegedly occupied university’s ground and help others to occupy other places in exchange of finance.
