Chittagong University unit Chhatra League yesterday observed sit-in programme and held demonstration at the University’s Eknong gate area, demanding the acquittal of city unit General Secretary Nurul Azim Rony who was jailed for two years on the charge of carrying illegal arms during the Union Parishod election of Hathazari.
Some hundred leaders and activists of Chhatra League took position at the Eknong gate arena of the City-Fatikchari road around 12.00 pm, headed by CU unit BCL general secretary H M Fazle Rabbi Sujon. The addressers accused of the Magistrate that he has link with war criminal organization Jamaat-Shibir and likewise that the Jamaat Shibir agent are disguised in the administration,.
CU BCBL’s former assistant secretary Rezaul Huq Rubel conducted the program where former central Chhatra League Sahed Sarwar, Md Rakib Hossain, North district Chhatra League President Bokteair Saieed Iran, General Secretary Abu Tayeb, Sumon Mamun and others were present here.
