Two days before the expiration of the two-member-committee of Chittagong University Unit Chhatra League, formed with president Alamgir Tipu and General Secretary H M Fazle Rabbi Sujon, the central Chhatra League formed the full body list of the CU Chhatra League.
The 201-member committee list was notified yesterday, while half-century leaders, accussed of several cases, were included in vital posts in the newly formed body. The list also included several criminals who were accused of murder case and arms cases.
CU BCL president Alamgir Tipu was one of the prime accussed of the double murder case, took place at the port city’s CRB area over tender snatching.
On the 24th June, 2014 a Jubo League activist including a kid was shot to death and at least five activists sustained bullet injury.
After the incident, BCL central committee Assistant Secretary and Alamgir Tipu’s leader Saiful Islam Limon were sacked from the committee . Police registered a case in this connection while CU BCL new committee Vice President Jamir Uddin, Kamrul Hasan Raihan and two others were accused in the double murder case.
Meanwhile, new committee Joint Secretary Abu Turab Parash, Organising Secretary Alamgir Tipu’s younger brother Md Arman, Imtiaz Ovi and several others were accused in an arms case after a fierce clash between two groups of Chhatra League on November 2, last year during the admission test.
Besides, new committee Vice President Rakib Hasan was accused of women and child oppression combat cat case in connection with posting nude picture in the social media site Facebook and of blackmailing.
Apart from the president group, BCL general secreatry H M Fazle Rabbi Sujon was accussed of an arms case. The accused of Taposh murder incident were also included in the vital posts.
Some activists alleged that the dedicated were deprived and they put the main entrance of the CU lock under key. CU proctor Ali Azgor Chowdhury said, some activists put the main entrance lock under key and the police unlock the main gateway.
CU Unit Office Secretary Delowar Shahjada confirmed the body list to the correspondent. However, CU unit BCL President Alamgir Tipu said, no criminals were included in the committee but saying the accused of several cases filed by Jamaat-Shibir were may be included.
