State Minister for Land Saifuzzaman Chowdhury MP said the development of Chittagong is very essential nor for Chittagong only rather national interest. He disclosed it while addressing the roundtable meet on “Realising 50 billion USD target for RMG sector” arranged jointly by BGMEA and Chittagong Research Initiatives(CRI) at Chittagong Club auditorium on Saturday as chief guest.
The noted business personalities observed that for the greater interest of the country the development of Chittagong and Chittagong port is very needed to achieve the 50bn USD target by 2021.
Former advisor of the caretaker government Hosain Zillur Rahman presented key note on Chittagong Mission and as Moderator of RT meet duly presided over by the First Vice President of BGMEA Nasiruddin Ahmed Chowdhury.
Among others former governor of Bangladesh Bank Salehuddin ahmed, BUET Professor M. Tamim , former power ministry secretary Dr. Fouzul Kabir Khan, Dr. Moinul Islam Mahmud, BGMEA leaders Moinuddin Ahmed and Ershadullah participated the RT as discussants, sources said.
