A 30-year-old woman has turned herself in to the police in Chittagong after murdering her husband.
Khodeza Begum lived with her husband Md Jahangir, a truck driver, at Sitakundu Upazila.
She went to the Sitakundu Police
Station on Wednesday night, 24 hours after murdering her husband.
“Khodeza came to the police station in the night and said ‘Arrest me, I have killed my husband’,” Sub Inspector Rehana Akhtar told bdnews24.com. The police officer said Khodeza told them she killed her husband with a grinding stone on Tuesday night. “She locked her home with the body inside and turned herself to police on Wednesday.” Khodeza claimed her husband was a drug-addict and she was regularly abused by him, added Sub Inspector Aktar.
