Mostafizur Rahman, a police official in Chattogram, rescued a newborn from three dogs and took the baby to Maa O Shishu Hospital. Then he took the baby to Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
Mostafizur Rahman was working as an Sub-Inspector (SI) at the Doublemurring Police Station.
He said “I was standing in front of the Akhteruzzaman Center for the last part of my night duty. At that time, on the opposite side of the road, I saw two dogs fighting in front of Sonali Bank. Another dog was pulling something. I was going forward and I saw the dogs pulling a baby. Then with the help of a woman rescued the baby and took to Agrabad Maa O Shishu Hospital”.
“Later the doctors suggested me to take the baby to Chattogram Medical College Hospital. Immediately I took the baby to CMCH. The baby is now well” Mostafizur Rahman added.
Assistant Commissioner of the CMP’s Doublemuring Zone Ashikur Rahman said that a mental disorder woman was sitting in a bloody condition in front of the Janata Bank at Badamtoli intersection. She was staring at the dogs with again and again. It was thought that the woman gave birth to a baby in front of the Sonali Bank. The dogs were then dragging the newborn with its intestines. AC Ashikur Rahman also said the baby was admitted to Ward No 33. The new born is well and the dog did not bite the child.
