Ctg Jail authority does not know prisoner escaped or not!

A prisoner has been reportedly missing from Chittagong Central Jail since 6am on Saturday. He was still missing when the report writing around 9pm.
However, the Chittagong jail authority does not know prisoner escaped or not.
The “Pagla Ghanta” (a bell which is ranged to meet emergency in jail) has already been used several times. The authorities are still in search of that prisoner.
Regarding this matter, Chittagong Central Jail Senior Jail Super Shafiqul Islam Khan filed a general diary (GD) with Kotwali police station on Saturday afternoon. The missing prisoner identified as Farhad Hossain Rubel from Narsingdi’s Raipura upazila, is accused in a murder case. His father’s name is Shukkur Ali Bhandari.
According to the GD, Rubel was sent to jail on February 9 in an interim detention warrant issued by the Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court in a case filed with the Sadarghat police station.
Inspector General (IG) of Prisons Brigadier General Mominur Rahman Mamun told The New Nation that “He has not been found yet. We are looking for him everywhere.
We are not taking this issue lightly in any way. Tomorrow (Sunday) I will form a committee to find out what happened.”
“It will also be ascertained as to whether there was any negligence on the part of those in charge.
Initially, if we see any kind of negligence, immediate action will be follow.”
Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Nezam Uddin told The New Nation that the jail authorities had lodged a general dairy (GD) with the police station in connection with the missing of a prisoner.
The detainee was an accused in a murder case filed under Section 302 of the Penal Code. We are looking into the matter. An investigating officer has already been appointed, he said.
Earlier, a prisoner sentenced to life in a murder case escaped from Kashimpur Central Jail-2 in Gazipur on August last year.
