Assistant Customs Officer (ARO) Rezwanul Haque of Chattogram Customs House died of serious illness while he was on duty. The tragic incident took place at around 4 pm on Monday (August 18) at the gate division of Chattogram Port Jetty.
His body was brought to the custom house from the hospital at around 9.45 pm. At this time the shadow of mourning came down.
Customs House Revenue Officer (Administration) Nahid Hossain said Rezwanul Haque suddenly fell seriously ill while on duty at the gate of port Jetty. He was rushed to Islami Bank Hospital in Agrabad.
He said the body would be sent to Rezwanul’s village home in Munshiganj after Janaza at the Custom House. He is survived by his wife and two children.
According to sources, Rezwanul joined the NBR on December 16, 2016 as an ARO. He joined Chattogra Custom House on February 1. He was about 35 years old at the time of his death.
