Chittagong Customs have failed to achieve target of revenue collection .
The revenue target of first three month of the current fiscal was Tk.7,986.63 cr but realized Tk.6,879.18 cr which is Tk.1107 less than the target. In last fiscal Tk.423 cr was more realized than the target of the corresponding period.
While contacted the Joint commissioner Ahethasamul Hoque on cell phone but he declined to comment anything about the failure to achieve target.
An official on condition of anonymity told that on first quarter of the year, generally the flow of business is not upto the mark which gradually will increase.
