Chittagong Cricket Academy and Bright Cricket Academy won their respective matches in the Continental Group Shaheed Dibosh (Under-16) T20 Cricket Tournament at the MA Aziz Stadium here on Monday.
Chittagong Cricket Academy beat Port City Cricket Academy by 20 runs while Bright Cricket Academy outplayed Udayaman Cricket Academy by 52 runs.
Sent in to bat first, Chittagong CA scored 137 runs for 5 in stipulated 20 overs with Imam Hossain making 36, Rabiul Hossain not out 28 and Mohiuddin 21 runs.
Mahtafuddin and Nuruzzaman grabbed two wickets each conceding the same 23 runs.
In reply, Port City CA were forced to fold their innings at 117 runs for 8 in 20 overs with Sohanur Rahman scoring 22, Abdul Mohaimen 21 and Sakibul Alam 20 runs.
Rabiul Hasan took two wickets for 20 runs.
In the day’s other match, Bright CA batted first after winning the toss and piled up a comfortable 171 for 4 in 20 overs with Shamsuzzaman making 76, Azaduzzaman 33 and Ratul Islam not out 29 runs.
In reply, Udayaman CA were all out for 119 runs in 19.1 overs with Adnan Kamal scoring 39 and Himel Ronde 24 runs.
Imran claimed three wickets for 19 runs.
