Chattogram City corporation in principle decided to name the Chattogram Airportraod after the name of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Final approval to rename the airport road was consented unanimously at the 51th meeting of the 5th elected Parishad of the corporation held at Theatre Institute Hall in the yesterday afternoon .
CityMayor AJMNasir Uddin announced the decision to rename the airport road in the meeting. Mayor said present govt under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, about Tk.1 lakh crores have been approved by the cabinet meeting for the different development projects of the port city including constlruction of Karnaphuli tunnel and mitigation of waterlogging .
He fur;ther said the airport road from cement crossing to airport point will be turned into four lanes. Mayor also disclosed that all the pledges of Prime Minister for development of Chattogram are undergoing in full swing.
