The Final match of a 4-day long Football tournament namely “AIUB Champions League (ACL) 2016” of American International University – Bangladesh was held in the Banani Club Ground in the capital recently.
6 teams (160 players) from different departments (both undergraduate and graduate students) and two faculty (teacher)/ official teams participated in the tournament. In the final match the Chelsea (CSE) defeated the Arsenal (BBA) team by 5-4 (Penalty kick out) and became the Champion in the Tournament.
The player of Real Madrid (Officer) team, Setu became the highest scorer of the tournament and Sabit became the Man of the Final from the Champion team “Chelsea (CSE)”.
The Vice President, Academic Prof Dr Tafazzal Hossain, Director (Students Affairs), Manzur H Khan, Director (FSIT), Mashiour Rahman, Head of Undergraduate program Dr Dip Nandi and Head of Graduate program Dr Tabin Hasan were present during the final match and gave prizes, trophies to the players after the match. A large number of students, faculty members, officials and local people were at the final match.
