Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) yesterday (Wednesday) submitted the charge sheet against Feni’s Sonagazi Islamia Senior Fazil Madrasa Principal Siraj Ud Daula in the case filed over sexual assault on madrasa student Nusrat Jahan Rafi.
PBI Inspector Md Shah Alam submitted the charge sheet before Feni’s Senior Judicial Magistrate Md Zakir Hossain on Wednesday, said complainant’s lawyer M Shahjahan Saju. Hearing on the charge sheet is scheduled to be held today (Thursday).Nusrat Jahan Rafi’s mother filed the case accusing Siraj Ud Daula for sexually harassing her daughter on March 27. A few days before the madrasa student was set ablaze by a group of five unidentified persons on April 6. The 18-year-old girl was set afire allegedly for refusing to withdraw the sexual assault case filed against Siraj. Nusrat lost her battle for life on April 10, five days after she was set ablaze at the madrasa.
Judicial Magistrate court may shift the sexual assault case against Siraj to Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal today.
