Police recovered a crude bomb from the premises of the residence of Rajshahi University (RU) Vice-Chancellor Dr Mizan Uddin on Friday.
RU proctor Dr Tariqul Hasan said pedestrians saw the crude bomb in an abandoned condition in front of the gate of the VC’s residence around 11am and informed the university authorities.
On information, police rushed to the spot and defused the hand-made bomb, said Motihar police station officer-in-charge Shamsur Noor.
