Crowds have been observed in different centers of Sylhet during the one-day dose corona vaccination program across the country. Such a picture can be seen in every vaccination center in Sylhet since Saturday (February 26) morning.
Although the presence of people in Sylhet in the morning was a little less. However, as the day progresses, the number of people interested in getting vaccinated increases. Today, the Sylhet Health Department is working towards the target of giving the first dose of vaccine to at least 6 lakh people in four districts of the department. Himanshu Lal Roy, Sylhet Divisional Health Officer said.
Meanwhile, overcrowding has been observed in the centers even before the start of vaccination. In addition to immunization at each of the pre-announced permanent and temporary centers in Sylhet, 40 mobile teams are working in the entire department with the help of the Civil Surgeon’s Office under the supervision of the Divisional Office of the Department of Health. These teams are vaccinating people floating around in different places.
Meanwhile, Johnson & Johnson vaccinations are being given today (Saturday) in every center of every ward in the Sylhet City Corporation area. Vaccination has started from 9 am in 96 centers of 27 wards of SCC. This activity will continue non-stop till 3 pm.
According to SCC, those who are 18 years of age or above will come to the center with national identity card or birth registration card and get vaccinated. Those who do not have any of these can also come to the vaccination center and get vaccinated.
Those who have already registered in the security app but have not received the Covid-19 vaccine will also be able to receive the vaccine today. Later, they will be able to update the vaccine data protection app through the information center set up in the city hall.
Those who will be vaccinated in the mass vaccination campaign without registration will be given a government vaccination card from the center.
