Staff Reporter :
Criminals are allegedly giving threat to the family of Nasrin Akhter Tuli, who was brutally killed by a young man in her residence in the capital on October 23, 2008.
Tuli’s father Rafizuddin Khan registered a general diary on August 31 in 2017 with Sarail Police Station under Brahmanbaria district, seeking safety and security of his whole family.
Mohammad Salahuddin Khan Pappu, the younger brother of Tuli, filed a murder case on October 24 in 2008 with Shahbagh Police Station, accusing six persons, including Mohammad Amin.
Amin beheaded Tuli, who was then an apprentice female lawyer of Dhaka lower court, and injured three others in broad daylight in their house at Segunbagicha in Dhaka.
Locals caught Amin (32) and handed him over to the police.
“We are receiving death threats over phone regularly. This has left a miserable impact on my family life. We cannot move freely fearing untoward incident. Those who were giving threat were asking for withdrawing the murder case,” Rafizuddin Khan, who is a valiant freedom fighter, told the New Nation yesterday.
“All these have created a dreadful situation for my family members and that is why a general diary has been lodged,” he added.
Rafizuddin Khan said also that as Pappu registered the case, all the angers have fallen upon him. The accused hired criminals to kill him.
“Pappu left the country to save his life,” he added.
