Crime situation reviewed in Narsingdi

The newly posted Superintendent of Police (SP) in Narsingdi Sheikh Rofiqul Islam held an view exchange meeting on law and order situation of the district with local journalists at his office conference room yesterday.
Forty journalists of different local and national dailies, news agencies and electronic media working in the district attended the meeting
The meeting discussed and reviewed in details the prevailing law and order situation in the district including narcotics control, traffic jam in the town, dacoity snatching and early marriage in the district.
Among others President of Narsindi Press Club Habibur Rahman, , General Secretary Makhan Das, BSS correspondent Mohammad Abu Taher, The New Nation Correspondent M A Awal, Ittefaq Correspondent Nibaran roy, Vice president press club Abul Foiz, Somakal correspondent Pritee Ranjan Shaha, UNB Correspondent Asadul Hoque Polash, Channel Bangla Vishion correspondent Mazaharul Parbaj and journalist Tofazzal Hossain addressed in the meeting.
Police Super said, journalists are the mirror and conscience of the society and they have an important role ensuring the law and order situation in the country. He sought cooperation of journalists to improve the law and order in the district. He said we should build resistance against terrorism, extortion and corruption. He stressed the need for extending cooperation to the police in nabbing criminals and the Narcotics Control Department.
