A total of seven cricketers left Dhaka on Thursday for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to perform Umrah Hajj there. Taskin Ahmed, Nurul Hasan, Afif Hossain, Mohammad Naim and Mohammad Saifuddin are the members of Bangladesh squad for the upcoming ICC World T20. Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam and wicketkeeper-batsman Zakir Hossain are also accompanied with them. Besides, Abdur Rashid, who is the father of Taskin Ahmed went to KSA with them to perform Umrah.
The five-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series between Bangladesh and New Zealand came to an end recently. The ICC World T20 are knocking at the door. Bangladesh will take part in the qualifiers of the ICC World T20, which is scheduled to held in Oman. Hosts Oman, Bangladesh, Scotland and Papua New Guinea have been placed in Group-B.
After performing Umrah, the five cricketers and the other members of Bangladesh World Cup squad will leave the city for Oman on October 4. Bangladesh Cricket team will take part in the conditioning camp in Oman and will prepare themselves for the upcoming qualifiers of the ICC T20 World Cup.
