Speakers at a workshop urged the concerned authorities to gear up awareness to protect pollution caused by negative impacts of industrialization.
They made the call at the workshop titled, ‘Reducing Emission of Green House Gas from Sea-bound Ships’ at the Muktijoddha Smriti auditorium of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority Bhaban in the city recently.
Secretary of the Shipping Ministry Md Abdus Samad addressed the workshop as the chief guest while Department of Shipping Director General Commodore Syed Ariful Islam and Chief Engineer and Ship Surveyor Manjurul Jabir spoke at the function.
