Chittagong Port Authority(CPA) will implement residential projects for the 3660 employees over 49 acres of land in city as per master plan of CPA. The project includes for residential accommodation of 3rd and 4th class employees and spacious ground and amusement parks for the children of the employees. Chairman of CPA Rear Admiral Nizamuddin Ahmed laid foundation stone of the residential project at Port north Residential area over 49 acres of land in city on Monday.Among others, Member(Engineering) Commodore Julfikar Aziz, Member(Planning) Zafar Alam, Member(Harbour) Commodore Shahin Rahman, Secretry Md. Omar Faruk , departmental heads and senior officials were present on the occasion. CPA chairman said the present accommodation facilities in different parts of the city for the officials and employees of CPA is not enough and following the increase of the port activities, the accommodation facilities need to be increased gradually as the number of employees gradually increasing.
