There is no doubt that India are stronger than Bangladesh. Bangladesh qualified in the quarter-finals of the ICC World Cup Cricket for the first time. Bangladesh’s counterpart in quarter-final are in-form defending champions India.
In the year of 2007, stronger India faced Bangladesh in their World Cup match and India lost to the Tigers. Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh and Mohendra Singh Dhoni played for India.
The match took place at Port of Spain of the West Indies. Make-shift Captain of Bangladesh team Shakib Al Hasan and his teammates get inspiration from that match.
Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan said , “Bangladesh played bravely against India in ICC World Cup Cricket 2007. We want to play that kind of match against India. We performed really well against England and New Zealand. If we keep our rhythm , we can do anything.”
He said, “India are a good side. They are the defending champions. They have some world class player in their squad. But we have also performed well in this World Cup. We are very confident. We are prepared for this match. If we compare between India and Bangladesh, we have to say India are stronger than us. But it is a matter of one match. If the day favours for us, anything can be happened.”
