Law enforcers recovered hanging bodies of a couple from a house at Buribazar under Ashulia of Savar upazila early Friday.
The deceased were identified as Parvez Hossain Sohag, 26, a garment worker son of one late Mostafa of Bagerhat and his wife Sadia Akhter, 23, daughter of one Manu Mia of Rupsha upazila in Khulna.
Rezaul Haque, Officer-in-Charge of Ashulia Police Station confirmed the matter to the media that being informed from locals, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies hanging from the ceiling in a room.
The bodies were sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital for autopsy. The couple, who got married only one year ago, might have committed suicide over family dispute.
Process is underway to file a case in this connection, the OC added.
