Detective Branch members of Chittagong Metropolitan Police rounded up one couple from a tea stall of Minto of Lalkhan Bazar Isphani Crossing under Khulsi thana in city on Thursday night .
DB police on searching their bodies, recovered fake currency notes of Tk.40 thousand from their possession. The detained fake currency trader Md. Ismail Mahin, son of Nazir Ahmed of South Sonapahar under Jorargonj thana of Mirsarai upazila and his wife Sanjida Akhter Nipa(20) .They were rounded up at about 11 pm , sources said.
Additonal Deputy Police Commissioner (DB) Nazmul Hasan told that sensing the transactions of fake currency notes, DB team consist of SI Sanjoy Guha, Rajesh Barua and Sajal Das along with force conducted raid in the area and caught them red handed . Case in connection has been lodged with the Khulsi thana, sources said.
