BAF airlifts coronavirus infected judge from
Dinajpur to Dhaka

Senior District Judge of Dinajpur Aziz Ahmed and his wife Moushumi Akhter, who tested positive for covid-19, were airlifted from Dinajpur to Dhaka on Sunday.
An MI-171SH helicopter of Bangladesh Air Force flew them to Dhaka on emergency basis. Later, they were taken to Kurmitola General Hospital in Dhaka for better treatment, said an Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR) press release.
Bangladesh Air Force has been providing emergency air transport and medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) assistance in aid to civil power to prevent coronavirus and continuing various activities to affirm its commitment to meet all emergency needs in a professional manner.
In line with this, the Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force provided necessary guidance to carry out the medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) mission.

Doctor, 3 BGB members infected with coronavirus in Thakurgaon

Three members of Border Guard Bangladesh and a doctor among 18 people, have been infected with coronavirus in Thakurgaon.
With the new cases, the total coronavirus cases have risen to 522, said civil surgeon Mahfuzar Rahman on Sunday afternoon.
So far 276 patients recovered in the district while eight people died from coronavirus.
The death tally from coronavirus in Bangladesh reached 3,399 on Sunday with the death of 34 more patients in the last 24 hours.
During this period, 2,487 new cases were confirmed.
Besides, 1,766 patients have made full recovery from Covid-19, raising the number of recoveries to 1,48,370.

Oxygen plant set up at HHC in Ctg

A Central Oxygen Plant has been set up at Hathazari Health Complex (HHC) at a cost of Taka 17 lakh.
As a result, patients will get uninterrupted oxygen supply from the plant from now on.
Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud, MP, inaugurated the oxygen supply line at the health complex on Monday noon.
The plant was started with 6,800 liters of liquid oxygen which will may meet the need for next 4-5 days, the hospital authorities said.
Caretaker of Hathazari Health Complex Dr ASM Imtiaj Hossain said the hospital authorities had to spend a large amount of money to buy oxyzen. However, setting up this plant will save a lot of money for the government, he added.
“We’ll reserve oxyzen by keeping the hospital’s cylinders full at first after starting the plant so that the patients do not have any problem,” he further said.
