Health Minister Zahid Maleque on Wednesday said that the country is already having a second wave of coronavirus.
“People are going out of homes for their livelihood. People are seen indifferent to follow health guidelines. But, the
health department including the doctors and nurses is ready to tackle the situation,” he said.
The minister informed this while inaugurating a programme at Dhaka Medical College (DMC) marking birth centenary of Bangabandhu Seikh Mujibur Rahman.
Requesting all to refrain from organising big party in winter, he said, “Many programmes like wedding ceremony and picnics are mostly held in winter season. Coronavirus infection may increase at that time because of such gatherings and events.”
