CoU mourns death of Bangabandhu

Comilla University (CoU) observed National Mourning Day in a befitting manner at the campus on Friday. To mark the day, the university authority took programs including floral tribute on the mural of Bangabondhu, milad-mahfil, discussion program and so on.
The day started with the floral tribute on mural of the father of nation at Bangabondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall.
Vice-Chancellor of CoU Prof Dr Ali Ashraf inaugurated the program by offering flowers to the mural of the father of nation. CoU Teachers’ Association, Provosts of the halls, CoU Chattra League and others offered flowers in respect to Bangabondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The speakers of the program said that Bangabondhu is the pioneer of independent Bangladesh. People cannot forget his contributions. They hoped that murderers of Bangabondhu who are staying abroad should be taken under punishment as early as possible.
The speakers requested the government to accelerate the trial of war criminals immediately.
As a part of the program, participants remained silent for one minute and pray for the departed souls of all national heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country.
