Some personal information have been leaked on the Facebook accounts of more than 700 teachers-students and concerned persons of Comilla University (CoU). The leaked information includes – Facebook users’ phone number, Facebook ID, full name, address, date of birth, profile and in some cases email address. This information has been found by analyzing the list of hacked accounts or leaked IDs of Facebook users’ of different countries including Bangladesh spread on the internet.
In this regard, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of Comilla University and Associate Professor of ICT Md. Tofayel Ahmed said, “This hacking is definitely concerning for us. Through this, they have snatched some more personal information including our mobile numbers. In this case, we can face any unwanted situation at any time. We may have to change our mobile number for this incident.”
It should be noted that the names of 533 million Facebook users in 108 countries of the world are on the list of hacking. Bangladesh has 38 lakh Facebook users in the leaked list.
