UNB, Dhaka :The High Court on Tuesday cleared the way for the lower court to continue a graft case filed against Awami League MP Abdur Rahman Bodi for accumulating wealth beyond known sources.An HC bench comprising Justice Emdadul Haq and Justice Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarker rejected Bodi’s petition seeking quashing the case proceedings, saying it was not properly placed before the court.Munsurul Haq Chowdhury and Probir Haldar stood for the rulingparty MP while Advocate Khurshid Alam represented the Anti Corruption Commission. With the High Court order, there is no legal bar to the continuation of the trial proceedings at the lower court, said Khurshid Alam.He also said, the lower court is set to record deposition on November 18 in the case. On October 7, the High Court refused to quash the proceedings of the graft case filed against Awami League lawmaker Abdur Rahman Bodi.
