Corona infection is on the rise in Chittagong, with 23 new cases In the last 24 hours, 1,046 samples have been tested and 23 coronaviruses have been identified. The infection rate is 1.56 percent compared to the sample test.
Even today no one died due to corona. According to a report released by the Civil Surgeon’s Office on Monday (January 3rd), samples were tested in 12 labs in Chittagong, including antigen tests. The new victims are 15 residents of metropolitan areas and 6 residents of Lohagara and Patiya upazilas.
So far, the total number of corona victims in Chittagong is 1 lakh 2 thousand 71 people. Of these, 64,300 are in metropolitan areas and 26,361 in upazilas. Besides, out of the total 1,332 deaths, 623 were residents of metropolitan areas and 709 were residents of different upazilas.
