A police constable of Phulbari Police Station in Kurigram lost control over the motor bike and fall into a road side pond and killed on Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Aminul Islam 55 ,son of late Kazi Jolilur Rahman of village Akkelpur under Joypurhat district.
Police and local sources said the constable after completing his personal work from Balarhat bazar at 11.00am on Tuesday was returning to Phulbari.
While he reached at Miapara area he lost control and fall into a road side pond. At that time his motor bike was on his body causing he died on the spot.
Locals informed the matter to the police station of phulbari thana at about 12.30am on Wednesday. Police rushed to the spot and recovered and brought the body to Phulbari thana.Officer-in-charge of Phulbari police station Khandoker Fuad Ruhani told that he may be stroke while he was driving the motor bike causing fall into the pond and died. Aminul joined in the Bangladesh police in 1084.
