Chittagong City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin said businessmen are the hearts of economy and Chittagong is the centre point of economy .
He said presdent govt is a business friendly . The role of businessmen in creating employment opportunities in the country is widely appreciable and the businessmen should play pioneering role for country’s uplift.
He disclosed it while addressing the biennial conference and introduction meeting of the executive committee of the Samity at Rima convenion centre in the city on January 11 last as Chief Guest.
Chairman of the central committee of the BDMS Helaluddin inaugurated the conference as inaugurator duly presided by its President Alhaj Saleh Ahmed Suleman . President of chittagong chamber of commerce Md. Mahbubul Alam, panel mayor Chowdhury Hasan Mahmud Hasni, ward councilor Tarek Suleman Selim, central secretary general of BDMS Jahirul Hoque Bhuyia, Director of CCCI SM Shamsuddin, Director , centre senior vice president of BDMS Ahsan Ahmed were present as special guest.
Senior Vice president of Chittagong unit of BDMS Alhaj Shababuddin delivered address of welcome in it. General secretary of Chittagong unit Md. Sagir delivered compliment address on the occasion.
Among others , central Vice Chairman Rezaul Islam Montu, Md. Abdul Quaiyum Talukder Moni, Senior Joint Secretary MA Kafi, Bibore Chandra Dey, Talal Rezvi, Abul Kashem Monti, Md. Moinul Islam, Arifur Rahman Tipu, Nurul Islam, Nazmul Hasan Mahmud, Rezaul Islam Bhuyia, , Haji Md. Billal Hossain Khan, Md. Jewel Ahmed spoke on the occasion.
The special guest of the conference Mahbubul Alam said Dokan Malik Samity is a large organization of the businessmen across the country and about one lakh businessmen of chittagong are representing this organization under Chittagong unit.
He assures to stay beside the DMS as and when required . Central chairman of BDMS Md. Helaluddin declared the new committee of the district unit before the participants headed by Alhaj Saleh Ahmed Suleman as President, Alhaj Abdul Khaleque Executive President, Haji Md. Shahabuddin as Senior Vice President, Alhaj Md. Sagir as vice President , Syed Khorshed Alam as General secretary. 171-members executive committee including 3 female members was declared in the committee for the term 2018-20 .
Later , the chair of the conference introduced the unpazila based business leaders and committee members before the central and district unit leaders. President of Tamamundi lane Banik Samity Alhaj Abdul Khaleque and President of Bipani Bitan Merchant ‘Welfare committee Md.Sagir conducted the whole program . After end of the program, all participants, guests, joined the dinner at the same venue, sources said.
