An absconding accused was rounded up by Baizid thana police on Sunday midnight from Baizid thana area.
The detained Siraj Kabir Jony(26) was convicted in a hijacking case by Speedy Trial court of Chittagong .
Jony is the son of Nur Ahmed of Jangal Para under Baizid thana, sources said. Court sources said, Jony committed an incident of daring hijack in January, 2014 at Baizid area and since the occurrence of hijacking, Jony has been remain absconding.
The court in his absence convicted him with 3 yrs rigorous imprisonment and issued warrant of arrest earlier.
