20 Chuadanga eye patients get compensation

UNB, Chuadanga :Following a High Court order, the authorities of Impact Memorial Community Health Centre on Tuesday paid Tk 5 lakh compensation to each of the 20 patients who lost their eyesight after surgery at the clinic here on March 5.The check was handed over to the patients at a programme at the conference room of the hospital around 11 am in the presence of civil surgeon Doctor Khairul Alam.Besides, the hospital authorities will give them treatment free of cost...
