One container operator worker died of collision with straddle carrier while working in Chittagong Port NCT terminal on Saturday night. The worker identified as Belayet Hossain.
Belayet Hossain hails from Laksmipur district and son of one Abdul Mannan, port sources said. Port sources said Belayet received fatal injury while working in the NCT berth No.5 and his one leg detached from body by the ramming of straddle carrier. He was immdediately rushed to the Chittagong medical college hospital , where the attending doctors declared him dead. Nayek of CMCH police camp Abu Hamid confirmed the news of the death of the ill fate worker.
