The world Consumer Rights Day was observed in Kishoreganj on Monday as elsewhere in global with the theme –Tackling Plastic Pollution.
Marking the day District Administration in Kishoreganj,CAB including DNCRP arranged trucks show , discussion,.
teshart and handbills distribution.
A discussion meeting on Mujib Barsher shopath kori –Tackling Plastic Pollution. held at local collectorate conference hall on Monday.
Civil Surgeon (CS) Dr.Mujibur Rahman attended as chief guest while Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC, General) Golam Mostafa presided over.
Additional SP Mizamur Rahman and CAB district President Alam Sarowar Tito were attended as special guest.
It was addressed among others by DNCRP Assistant Director (AD) Rahday Ronjon Bonik ,District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal, Mohila Awami league District Secretary Bilkis Begum, Assistant Professor Samiul Haque Mollah , Former Kishoreganj Chamber President Badal Rahman, Chamber Senior Vice -President Hafez Md. Khalequzzaman and CAB district Secretary Monowar Hossein Rony.
Collectorate Executive Magistrates ,Jail Super and government officials were also present. CS dr.Mujibur Rahman said that it is important to ensure quality in every aspect of food production, processing and marketing so that irregularitiy in the sale of goods and provision of services cannot disrupt the normal life of the people.
CAB President Alarm Sarowar Tito said the government is implementating various programme to protect the consumer rights as it enacted the Consumers Rights Protection Act-2009,which is helping in ensuring consumers rights .
Additional SP Mizamur Rahman asked all concerned to pay attention purchasing capacity of the quality of products.
