Leaders of two factions of the Barisal Bibag Samity (BBS) demanded construction of railway line from Mawa bridge to Payra port via Kuakata.
They also demanded allocation in the upcoming national budget for the development of the division.
The demands were formally placed while the leaders from both the factions of the Samity organized human chain in front of the Jatiya Press Club and held press conferences at the VIP lounge of the club here separately today.
Advocate Yousuf Hossain Humayun, Sirajuddin Ahmed, president of a faction, Iqbal Hossain Forkan, president of another faction, general secretary DrAzizur Rahman Manik, member secretary Abdul Jalil were also present.
