The construction work of Naogaon Sadar Modern Hospital has not yet been completed though its work started 20 years back and apart from the ground floor, the 2nd floor to the 8th floor was handed over to the hospital authorities but the partial work of the ground floor was incompleted because the construction department has not been able to understand it yet.
Meanwhile, the paint on the outside wall of the hospital is going to fade. Hospital authorities, including local people, have also been upset over this.
It is learnt that in the 27th, the Prime Minister of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the hospital. Although the work is expected to be completed by 20, the contractor has not yet completed the ground floor. As a result, it is possible to use the second floor of the building from the 2nd floor to the 5th floor but the ground floor has become unusable. The students of the newly declared Medical College Hospital continue their studies in the old building due to lack of space in the hospital. Hospital treatment is underway on some floors of the new building. Doctors are sitting in the western part of the ground floor of the old building. When the ground floor of the new building was completed, physicians could sit and serve patients. Dr Md. Since then the specialist physician in this department has been vacant. The number of patients with diarrhea in the current hospital is increasing. Every 1 to 5 diarrhea patients are admitted with infectious disease. The number of children is high. The number of patients admitted for respiratory distress is 6 to 12 people each. In addition, about 20 patients are admitted to the hospital. One to one and a half thousand patients arrive in the outdoors. The caretaker also said that we are obstructing proper treatment due to the lack of necessary doctors and places.
