UNB, Dhaka :Awami League senior leader Suranjit Sengupta on Friday said conspiracy is being hatched to tarnish the image of the country abroad over the killing the Italian national Cesare Tavella.”Whatever is going on over the killing of the Italian national is a conspiracy to tarnish the image of the country in the international arena. There is an attempt to establish presence of militants group in the country and militant connection with the killing. Italian Embassy in Dhaka also confirmed that there isno connection of ISIS with the killing” he said.”We will be able to reach a solution after identifying the root of the conspiracy over the killing” he added.Suranjit, also the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Law Ministry, came up with the remarks at a discussion at Dhaka Reporters Unity.Raising question over the security measures in the diplomatic zone where the killing took place, Suranjit said “The security of the diplomatic zone should be strengthened and accountability of the law enforcers deployed in the areas should be ensured.”Suranjit also said, all concerned will have to take responsibility for the leakage of question papers of any exam, including the medical one, and take necessary steps to prevent recurrence of such incident.He also congratulates Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for winning “The champions of the Earth ‘ the highest environmental accolade of the United Nations Environmental Programme-(UNEP), in recognition of Bangladesh’s far-reaching initiatives in addressing problems induced by climate change.
