Indian High Commissioner in Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla said that connectivity will get importance among other issues during the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s upcoming visit to India.
Shringla said it to journalists after meeting Bangladesh foreign secretary Mohammad Shahidul Haque on Monday.
The meeting was arranged to discuss and adjust the details on the premier’s four day official tour since her last visit in 2010. So, the forthcoming tour is very important for some bilateral issues between two countries.
Shringla said, “Many issues will be discussed in this visit, however, connectivity will be a priority among them, specially, connections between rail, road and power exchange.”
Earlier, Sringla said it will be a unique visit for Hasina because the president of India had invited her to stay at the presidential palace. With this invitation, President Pranab Mukherjee showed great honor to the Bangladeshi Prime minister. Hasina will be welcomed with a red carpet reception.
